[Recipe] Skinny Kiwi Pineapple Smoothie


Are you ready to hit the road running with a new healthy eating plan? We have just the smoothie to get you off to a good start. It’s only 175 calories and comes from Brooke Griffin at SkinnyMom.

It’s never too soon to start a healthy eating plan. Don’t be like me always thinking I’ll start next week. Like tomorrow, next week never comes.

So don’t keep putting it off, or the holiday pounds will continue to creep on. Then one day you’ll step on the scales and get a shock! And you’ll be wondering where it all came from!

I’m always disgusted that bad habits take minutes to become ingrained, while it’s such a fight to firmly establish good habits. It’s just not fair, lol!

The good news is to remember you can digress a little (occasionally) without setting yourself back too much. Then hop back on and keep going.

    With the Sugar being by far the highest thing on the Nutrition Facts it is something I would not recommend to clients of mine. I’m sure it’s delicious though! …Would find a way to bulk up the Fat and Fiber…

    Hi Nell, note, for most folks, the better questions to ask are “is the sugar natural, unprocessed”? and “what other ingredients are in the recipe?”

    This is because, again, for most folks (but check with your doctor) its the rate of absorption of sugars by your body that is much more important than the absolute quantity of sugar in a recipe. And that depends on the other ingredients consumed along with the sugar. (That’s why, for example, bananas are classed as “low-glycemic” – GI=51 – even although they can have a relatively high sugar content…)
